Job Description

Senior Litigation Paralegal

Location: Sandy Springs, GA (Fully In-Office)

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our growing team in Sandy Springs. This position offers the opportunity to work on a sophisticated docket of high-value litigation matters, managing approximately 12-16 active cases at various stages of litigation.

Unlike high-volume practices, our focus is on strategically handling significant cases that require thoughtful analysis, thorough preparation, and close collaboration with attorneys. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and enjoys becoming deeply involved in case strategy and development from inception through resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a caseload of approximately 12-16 complex litigation matters.
  • Draft pleadings, complaints, discovery requests, discovery responses, and other litigation documents for attorney review.
  • Assist attorneys with all phases of litigation, from pre-suit investigation through trial and resolution.
  • Coordinate and maintain case calendars, scheduling deadlines, hearings, depositions, mediations, and other litigation events.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with court deadlines, local rules, and procedural requirements.
  • Organize, review, and manage case files, records, and evidence.
  • Coordinate collection and analysis of medical records, business records, expert materials, and other case-related documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, experts, courts, and vendors.
  • Assist in preparing cases for mediation, arbitration, settlement negotiations, and trial.
  • Conduct factual research and support attorneys in evaluating case strengths, weaknesses, and litigation strategy.
  • Proactively identify issues, anticipate case needs, and contribute ideas designed to maximize client outcomes.
  • Support the litigation team in developing efficient case management processes and achieving exceptional results for clients.

Qualifications

  • Litigation paralegal experience required.
  • Strong understanding of the litigation process from case intake through trial.
  • Experience drafting pleadings, complaints, discovery, and related litigation filings.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to independently manage deadlines and priorities across multiple active matters.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive mindset and genuine interest in helping develop litigation strategy.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management systems.
  • Trial preparation experience is highly preferred.

What Makes This Opportunity Different

  • Manage a lower-volume docket focused on substantial, high-value cases rather than high-volume case handling.
  • Work closely with attorneys on case strategy and decision-making.
  • Meaningful involvement throughout the entire lifecycle of each matter.
  • Opportunity to directly impact case outcomes and client success.
  • Collaborative team environment that values initiative, critical thinking, and professional growth.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Top-of-market compensation based on experience.
  • 100% employer-paid benefits.
  • Stable, team-oriented work environment.
  • Relocation assistance available for the right candidate.
  • Convenient Sandy Springs office location.
  • Fully in-office position with close attorney collaboration.

This role is ideal for a litigation paralegal who prefers quality over quantity, enjoys ownership of their cases, and wants to be a strategic contributor on significant litigation matters.
